Plane crash: Team formed to identify the dead
KARACHI: Additional IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has formed a team to identify the victims of the plane crash.
According to Hum News, Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon said that the victims of the plane crash would be identified through DNA.
He told Hum News that Karachi police has appointed three focal persons. The team formed by the police will be headed by SSP Investigation Korangi Junaid Ahmed.
According to Hum News, DSP Aftab Alam will be in charge of the police desk set up at Jinnah Hospital in connection with the plane crash, while DSP Rustam will be in charge of the desk at the Civil Hospital.
According to the chairman PIA, the bodies of six people killed in the plane crash have been handed over to their heirs after identification.
Plane crash: Health department confirms death of 80 people
Dr Sami Jamali, director of Jinnah Hospital, said DNA sampling was being carried out on those killed in the crash.
